COVID-19 Update

HART Services is still operating through the COVID-19 pandemic. However, due to Government directives, we have needed to scale back our services.

Clients can still call to book a trip, if their transport needs are essential e.g medical appointments that can’t be undertaken by telehealth. Trips into Queensland are still going ahead as people can still cross the border to attend medical appointments.

We are able to provide limited transport for clients who are in self-isolation for contact with suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19. This will be provided by trained staff. If you believe you may have contracted the virus, call the National Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080 or seek medical advice, before making an appointment, as per directives from the Department of Health.

We are still taking on new clients and accepting referrals through My Aged Care.

HART Services continues to provide Home Care Package services and NDIS support services.

Shopping bus service are still operating under changed conditions, please contact Group Services on 02 6628 0127 for further details.

Community Engagement have extended shopping runs for Jubullum, Bonalbo, and Muli Muli communities, each community will be doing 2 runs each week, with buses limited to 5 people max each run adhering to social distancing practices.

Funeral assistance is still available through the Community Engagement office for enquires please contact 02 6628 0260 and leave a message and the Coordinator will return your call as soon as possible.

Additional precautions are being taken to maintain high standards of infection control. All team members have been directed to take leave from work or volunteering if they display any cold or flu like symptoms, or have had close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.

All workers have been directed to complete COVID-19 infection control training. All workers use hand hygiene before and after every episode of physical contact. All vehicles are stocked with hand sanitiser and cleaning equipment, and procedures for cleaning are in place. Frequently touched areas such as door handles, grab bars and seat belts are treated with disinfectant spray or wipes between passengers and all vehicles are given an additional thorough clean at the end of each day.

Social buses have been suspended and will resume once it is safe to do so.

Our offices are not accessible to visitors at the moment, but calls are welcome, during office hours 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday on 02 6628 6000
